About Sky
OPICO are pleased to announce the launch of the range of Sky-Agriculture grain drills in the UK which will be sold alongside it's range of HE-VA cultivation machinery. After many years building a HE-VA range of cultivation machinery which includes a number of market leading products we are pleased to offer a range of innovative trailed drills that meet the same high standards.
For those who don't know Sky Agriculture is the result of a meeting of minds between farmers and machinery manufacturers. It was established as a new brand and launched at SIMA show in 2013. In a short time Sky drills have made a huge impact on their home market in France and they are now being introduced into many other countries around the world.
The reason for the success is, as always, in the detail. The manufacturing of Sky products is done by Sulky at its 3 factories which employ state of the art manufacturing and painting facilities and of course expertise, knowhow and experience in agricultural machinery. The detailed quality control employed in the factories and superb finish of the product can be seen at a glance.
This expertise, knowledge and experience also extends into the field. Sky's founder and managing director, David Guy who is a farmer and an agricultural engineer has used his own farm to experiment and develop the machines the company markets today. The drills have each been designed and specified to meet the economic and agronomic challenges facing today's farmers and provide a practical solution for the customer.
The Sky team in France and the UK has been set up to provide top end, specialised technical support combined with a thorough knowledge of the agronomy behind the min-till and direct drilling techniques being employed. With economies of scale driving modern agriculture the drills have high seasonal workloads and we aim to provide unrivalled back up to the customers who invest in Sky products.
